Description
Hello Science of Reading friend!
Thank you for checking out this resource. I created this worksheet as a fun way to help students learn to blend sounds into words using continuous sounds.
When kids are first learning to blend sounds into words, it can be helpful to start with continuous sounds. These sounds can be held as long as you can hold your breath, making it easier for students to blend them into the next sound and hear what the word is.
Continuous sounds include A, E, F, I, L, M, N, O, R, S, U, V, Z. Holding these sounds helps students smoothly blend sounds together.
