Hello Science of Reading friend!
Thank you for checking out this resource. I created this worksheet as a fun way to practice the soft C/G Pattern. I call them patterns, not rules because nothing in English is 100%, however.. when we know the common patterns, it helps a ton!
The soft C/G pattern can help us know whether C or G will make their hard or soft sounds.
Hard G sounds like /g/
Soft G sounds like /j/
Hard C sounds like /k/
Soft C sounds like /s/
