Thank you for checking out this resource. Silent E has a lot of jobs, and I am breaking them all down. I created this worksheet as a fun way to practice one of the jobs of Silent E.

Silent E makes TH say its voiced sound.

Put your hand on your throat and say BREATHE. When you say /th/, you will feel a vibration. This means it is a voiced sound!

Now do it again and say BREATH. When you say /th/ this time, you won’t feel a vibration because it is an unvoiced sound.

We need the E at the end to make TH say its voiced sound!
