I have created this resource to help you add meaning to your word instruction.

The more information a child has about a word, the better equipped they are to remember, comprehend, and use that word. So, we created this decodable spelling riddle game as a fun way to help your kids add in meaning while matching phonemes and graphemes!

How to Use:

This set is made for teachers to print the cards and read them to the class one clue at a time. Students can use a white board or paper to write down their answers. Encourage them to write down a guess after each clue! This can be done small group or whole group and is a great way to promote the orthographic mapping process!

What’s Included?

Unit 1 includes 8 cards for each short vowel. There is a total of 40 CVC Word riddles.
