I created these slides as an easy, fun warm up to your reading and writing block! It is a little bit like the game “What the Meme” but a little more controlled.

This resource uses words from UNIT 2 (Blue Series) which focuses on BLENDS and DIGRAPHS but also includes skills from Unit 1 (CVC Words). This includes high frequency words that are included in the high frequency word scope & sequence as well.

How to use this resource:

Show the slide and have students read each possible answer. They should choose the one that best fits the picture.

You can either have students do this orally or have them write down their answers as a writing warm up!
