Phonemic Awareness BINGO – Valentine’s Day Edition

Description
I created these bingo boards as a fun way to practice phonemic awareness skills. Phonemic awareness is one of the most important skills needed for reading!
This resource can be adapted to work on all phonemic awareness skills! Here are some examples of how this can be used:
Rhyming – This word rhymes with NOSE (rose).
Syllables – This has 3 syllables (lollipop).
Beginning Sounds – This starts with /s/ (multiple answers).
Ending Sounds – This ends with /o/ (arrow).
Middle Sounds – This has the middle sound /u/ (hug).
You can also adapt this to work on phoneme addition, deletion, and substitution with a little creativity! (For example, say “dandy”, now change the /d/ to a /k/.)
How to Play:
Cut up the cue cards and place them all upside down. Give each student a bingo board. Flip over a cue card and give an instruction based on the photo you flipped.
Once a student gets 5 in a row, they call BINGO, and you can check their bingo by comparing the cue cards that are flipped over to the pictures they covered.
There are 20 variations of the bingo card included.
