Dear parents & teachers:

Dictation is an important part of learning to read and spell. Daily dictation can help kids apply the phonics & phonemic awareness skills they have been learning!

This resource includes:

How to use:

1. Say the target sounds out loud. Have students spell each sound.

2. Say each word. Have students map the word (spell each sound) and then write the word on the lines underneath the mapping boxes.

3. Say the sentence. Have students write the sentence on the line.

Please note that you may not need to use all the lessons provided. However, if you are using my 5 day lesson plans (Science of Reading 101 exclusive), you can incorporate one dictation lesson into each day.
