I created these bingo boards as a fun way to practice phonemic awareness skills. Phonemic awareness is one of the most important skills needed for reading!
This resource is focused on sounds & syllables.
How to Play:
Cut up the cue cards and place them all upside down. Give each student a bingo board. Flip over a cue card and say the SOUND.
For example, if you flip over the sun, you might say /s/ /u/ /n/. Students will have to listen to the sounds and blend them to find the word. If you flip over the flamingo, you might say /fla/ – /ming/ – /go/ and students will have to blend the syllables.
Once a student gets 5 in a row, they call BINGO, and you can check their bingo by comparing the cue cards that are flipped over to the pictures they covered.
