This interactive activity is perfect for small groups, centers, or one-on-one practice. It helps students strengthen their phonemic awareness by focusing on beginning sounds in a hands-on, engaging way.

How It Works:

Students take turns choosing pictures/words and identifying their beginning sound.

They move the sound catcher while saying the sound aloud.

After a few rounds, they reveal a hidden letter and think of words that start with that letter!
