Dear parents & teachers:

I created these cards as a way to help develop vocabulary and word recognition in early readers. When we take a look at the reading brain, we can see that meaning is important when kids are learning new words! Many of the early decodable words are words that kids may not hear often. This means vocabulary is important at even the earliest stages of learning to read!

That is where these cards come in!

In each set, I have included lesser known words and words with multiple meanings. This is why you may not see words like HAT or CAT included with CVC words.
