- I created these books as a supplement for your alphabet instruction. I have included my alphabet mnemonics pictures in these books to help reinforce the shape and sound of the lowercase letters.
- This set focuses on LONG vowel sounds and is meant to be used when you are teaching LONG vowels in your phonics lessons. The lessons are a half page each and should be used as a warm up when working on phonics skills. You may or may not need all 3 days of lessons.
- Why should we align our phonemic awareness instruction with phonics? The short answer is, this maximizes our instruction time! Phonemic awareness is usually taught as a warm up at the beginning of a lesson. What better way to “warm up” than to get kids listening for the sounds they will be learning about in today’s phonics lesson?
